Youngs Farm, established in 1893, is a family-run, certified organic farm located at 91 Hegemans Lane in Old Brookville, New York. Currently managed by the fourth and fifth generations of the Youngs family, the farm spans 15 acres and employs sustainable and regenerative farming practices to cultivate approximately 50 varieties of fruits and vegetables. The on-site market offers a diverse selection of produce, baked goods, prepared foods, and pantry items, all of which rotate seasonally. The bakery specializes in scratch-made pies, breads, cookies, muffins, and biscuits, while the kitchen produces soups, pot pies, quiches, jams, preserves, sauces, and dips. Additionally, the market features a curated selection of local and specialty groceries, housewares, and traditional candies. Youngs Farm operates daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with exceptions on certain holidays. Visitors are welcome to explore the farm and its grounds; however, the farm does not offer pick-your-own produce or house any animals. Throughout its long history, Youngs Farm has remained a cherished part of the community, adapting to changing times while maintaining its commitment to quality and sustainability. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the farm experienced a surge in patronage, as customers sought safe, local food sources. This increased demand led to the farm extending its operating season and considering the expansion of greenhouse space to provide fresh produce year-round.
