Took the time to explore NYC on the fourth, and look at some of the more notable landmarks, such as the oculus and the freedom tower. It was an interesting night because the people I spent time with had worked in the freedom tower and heard all sorts of rumors and stories about what really happened on September 11. It is a strange and wonderful place to be on Fourth of July. The energy was unreal and I felt that was part of something special.
