Stewarded by mayan | Get Directions

Malay apple, also known as “pommerac” or “rose apple”, is a tropical fruit that belongs to the Syzygium family. It is native to Southeast Asia and has a round to pear-shaped appearance with a waxy, smooth, and thin skin that ranges from light green to deep red in color. The flesh of the Malay apple is white to slightly pinkish, juicy, and has a crisp texture similar to an Asian pear. It has a mild, sweet flavor with hints of floral and lemony notes. The fruit is commonly eaten fresh or used in salads, desserts, and drinks.
